How to make a good first impression when applying for a school

School is an important part of life. If you want to have a good job, then you must apply for a good college first. There are several important things when you are at an interview.

Be punctual. This is the most important part of any interview you have. It also shows that you have taken this interview seriously and you are willing to study here. Don’t arrive too early. It’s good to arrive 20 minutes earlier to be prepared, but it’s not okay to arrive more than half an hour early since the interviewer may not be prepared or there are some students having an interview before you.

Dress properly. Don’t wear t-shirts and shorts to an interview, it makes the interviewer feel disrespected and that you don’t really care about studying there. Wearing your school uniform or any kind of formal clothes is ok.

Be polite to the teachers and other students. Use “Please” and “Thank you” when you’re speaking and address others as “Sir” or “Madam”. Never use slang or curse words when speaking as it’s considered impolite. Don’t interrupt others, if you have something to say, let the interviewer finish what he’s saying before speaking. Also, sit strait up in your chair. Don’t sit in the chair like it’s a couch. When you finish, remember to thank the interviewer for his time and express your hopes for studying here.

Ask some questions. It shows that you’re greatly interested in the school and your future life there. Don’t be afraid to ask something appropriate as it’s a good way to make friends with the interviewer.
