After the civil unrest in the early years of the republic, the galaxy entered a relatively peaceful and prosperous new era. The Constitution of GRE 21 guaranteed the solemnity and holiness of the private property and personal dignity. The multi-party (which includes both the bourgeoisie and the working class representatives) system and democracy and liberalism were established. The population growth slowed down and the production was greatly improved. The highly-advanced technology and clean energy sources were considered the greatest stabilizer of the rule of the republic. In GRE 702, the gross domestic production (GDP) reached the peak of nearly 7 quintillion Galactic Standard Credits, which is, per capita, about 60000 credits. In GRE 705, the Democrats won the presidential election and won 3528 seats in the National Assembly and 637 seats in the Senate. Under its governing, the freedom of market and public opinions was greatly improved. The galaxy seemed the best of all times. However, because of the absolute freedom that the Democratic Party advocated, there seemed to be some unstable phenomena occurred across the galaxy.
